Print speeds of the MP C400 approach 42 pages per minute at a resolution of 1200 dpi. This performance makes it possible to create quality internal and external documents. An n automatic duplex unit complements the mission of the BP C400. A different model, the C400SR comes equipped with a 150 page internal finisher. The document server built into the C400 stores as many as 3,000 files. When needed, users can print, fax or email the stored documents stored on the C400.
The MP C400 can print for a long time without interruption thanks to its almost 2,300 page supply of either 8.5 x 11 or 8.5 x14 paper supply. That much paper keeps workers productive rather than filling up paper trays. A single-handed toner replacement keeps output moving along at an impressive pace. The touchscreen controls on the MP C400 provides on-screen instructions. Users simply follow the directions displayed on the screen to perform every task.
Connecting through a wireless network, this Rico printer sends scanned documents via email to addresses selected from the printer’s contact list or to custom addresses and recipient lists. The scan-to-FTP choice makes uploading documents to an FTP site fast and easy. From the FTP site, anyone with permission can access them.
Users can scan to their own SD card or USB storage. The Aficio MP C400 also converts documents between file formats such as PDF, TIFF and JPG.
Ricoh designed the CP400 with robust security that protects the data it stores. Ricoh’s DataOverwrite Security System overwrites print-job files as soon as documents finish printing. Also, multi-level security choices built into the user interface make keeping files separated between users and user groups.
